Two albums related to the topic explored in “After Rwanda.” The rationale for these albums is included in the introduction of the book.
Ravensbrück
My aunt France Audoul Martinon was a member of the French Resistance. She was deported from Compiègne in France to the concentration camp of Ravensbrück sixty miles north of Berlin on 31 January 1944. On the 9 April 1945, a month before the camp was liberated by the Russians, she managed to escape (with the sketches below) by joining a Swedish and Danish Red Cross convoy as it was leaving the camp. She was prisoner No. 27,933.
