I teach in the Department of Visual Cultures at Goldsmiths College in London, a department known for innovative and critical research in contemporary thought and culture.

I believe that education should be about promoting and cultivating our collective imagination, investigating and learning from the past, as well as exploring and experimenting on how we live and organise together our social, political, and cultural lives.

I’m particularly interested in how carefully conducted research combined with imaginative and creative new perspectives can help to understand, attend, and respond to contemporary issues, controversies, and matters of concern. This is an ethos that I always try to keep with me while in the classroom.
